New York City native keyboardist, singer and songwriter Dave Keyes is a 30 year veteran of the Blues, Roots and Americana music scene. He has released 5 highly acclaimed CD’s under his own name, has been named the “best unsigned artist” by Keyboard magazine, and also has been nominated by the Blues Foundation for the annual Pinetop Perkins best piano player award. His 6th CD titled The Healing featuring Popa Chubby and many other special guests is getting rave reviews worldwide.


Dave has played with some of the most important figures of blues, roots and folk music, having had long musical relationships with Odetta, David Johansen, Bo Diddley, rockabilly legend Sleepy LaBeef and gospel great Marie Knight among many others.
His festival appearances under his own name include King Biscuit, Mississippi Valley, three appearances at France’s prestigious Cognac Blues Festival and Dave has been honored to perform annually at Blues to Bop.
The last several years he has toured Europe extensively with both Popa Chubby and Ronnie Spector often doing double duty, opening the shows as a solo artist.


Over the last 20 years, Dave has also worked in many roles as a band leader and conductor for both Broadway shows and TV, most notably conducting over 600 performances during the 6 year Grammy winning Broadway smash run of Smokey Joes Café.

The UK All Stars is a special group of musicians formed in keeping with Artistic Director Norman Hewitt vision of putting together players who don’t usually play together and creating a special group for Blues To Bop. The group will be backing up legendary vocalist Thornetta Davis.


Drummer Steve Rushton from London has played with a wide variety of artists from Imelda May, Jeff Beck, Ronnie Spector and Petula Clark, to the London Philharmonic Orchestra , BBC Big Band and for various West End theatre shows. He currently also is working with pianist Elio Pace and the latest incarnation of the 70’s hit dance band Hot Chocolate.


Bassist Neil Harland from Newcastle has played with Johnny Dickinson, Revolver and Alan Price among many others, and recorded with the great Joe Cocker. He currently is a highly sought after session player and tours the world constantly.
Guitarist Steve Williams hails from the North Yorks part of England and first came to Blues to Bop in 1993 accompanying legendary acoustic player Dave Peabody. In his early career he has performed with Honeyboy Edwards and Skip James and in addition he has performed with Steely Dan member Elliott Randall and leads his own band Blues Deluxe in the UK. In his spare time he also founded and produces his own highly acclaimed Willowman Festival in Northern England the 3rd weekend of June every year.
