The All Star Blues and Boogie Band is comprised of a hand picked group of musicians from the cream of today’s scene, they play a unique blend of authentic blues and boogie, drawing from the rich legacy of the past, coupled with a vibrant, original, 21st Century approach to roots music.
Steve Rushton is a much sought after drummer, producer, composer and songwriter and with a knowledge and enthusiasm for all musical styles provides the beat for some of the worlds greatest musicians. As a member of Imelda May’s band he has toured the world and played on the multi platinum albums Love Tattoo (De Luxe) and Mayhem/More Mayhem.
He appears on Jeff Beck’s Emotion and Commotion and is the drummer on Jeff Beck’s grammy nominated album and DVD Rock and Roll Party Honoring Les Paul. Steve was, for a time, the in house drummer at Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club in London as well as playing the kit for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Proms. Steve composes music for film, TV and radio as well as producing recordings in his own studio, playing keyboards, guitars and the kitchen sink.
The name Matt Taylor is becoming more and more familiar as a highly regarded guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer. He has made four albums under his own name and several others in collaboration with the likes of Long John Baldry with whom he toured Europe twice, releasing one live album. As a session musician he has toured Europe and the USA with French superstar Patricia Kaas and has worked with a wide variety of artists in many genres. He currently fronts the new British R’n’B band The Motives, currently getting rave reviews across Europe with their eponymous debut album which is out now.
