In summer 2003 Sandra Hall met Maurizio Glielmo for the first time, giving birth to an intense collaboration that culminated in 2007 with the album "Red Bone Woman".
Sandra Hall has grown into the Gospel music circle and had remarkable collaborations with world renowned artists such as Joe Tex, BB King and Joe Simon, who brought Sandra to the main blues stages around the United States and that, in 1990, led her to open her first tour in Europe at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
As a modern blues well-know star, Sandra not only to sings Chicago Blues, but also plays music by Big Mama Thornton and Otis Redding with warm tones typical of contemporary black music in the style of Etta James or Koko Taylor. Thanks to her wonderful voice, her dynamic and theatrical stage presence often cross through the territories of Rhythm & Blues, which is a perfect terrain for the sound of the Gnola Blues Band.
Maurizio Glielmo, also know as Gnola, is the best slide guitarist on the Italian scene, with two albums bringing his name. For his last album'"Walkin' Through The Shadows Of The Blues" received the'' Premio SIAE come miglior disco Jazz & Blues " in 2000 .
In 1989 he created the "Gnola Blues Band" with the aim of playing only classical Blues, but soon began to blend traditional elements with their own compositions. In March 2010, they published their latest work entitled "20 years on the road" to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the band, which is a compilation with some historical tracks with five more unreleased.
