Singer and songwriter Earl Thomas grew up in rural Tennessee, eager to be an English rock star. Pianist and composer Paddy Milner grew up in England, dreaming about becoming an American version of himself. Years later they would meet, realizing that their feelings and hopes transcended time and space.

Although they seem so different outside, in fact they both share the passion and spirit with which they approach each song. This balance is reflected perfectly in their album "Earl Thomas with Paddy Milner & The Big Sound", an original explosion of contemporary blues, rock, soul, funk and R & B.

Thomas and Milner met for the first time in January 2007 on a ship during the exclusive cruise "Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise". At first, they studied each other, then got together for a late night-session and then sat at a table and discussed their collaboration.  A years later, Earl Thomas was looking for a band for his European tour and found Milner a willing and motivated partner. Later, with The Big Sound, both found the perfect complement.

Earl Thomas once said: "I always thought that the Blues were an art-based collaboration. [...] When I started working with these guys, I realized that Blues is universal. It comes from the Africans, Europeans, Native Americans and Asians. It became what it is thanks to American soil, but its deep soul belongs to everybody. "
