Diunna captivated her audiences at Blues to Bop 2003 thanks to her wonderful voice and radiant personality.  This year she has been invited back with her own regular group Blue Mercy so her concerts will provide a rare glimpse of blues, soul and gospel as they are still played in venues off the usual blues circuits.  This is not to say that Diunna Greenleaf is unknown to the mainstream blues fan, far from it, in fact she is the first woman to be elected President of the Houston Blues Society and, with state sponsorship, has also organised a number of very successful festivals, achievements that confirm the esteem she enjoys
