Grace Potter, leader of the rocking band, “Grace Potter and the Nocturnals” is a phenomenon at the age of only 24, backed by guitarist Scott Tournet, bassist Bryan Dondero and drummer Matt Burr, her concerts have become rave occasions all over the States where the accolades have started to come pouring in. Potter is a particularly talented composer as the band’s latest CD, “This Is Somewhere” (Ragged Company/ Hollywood Records) clearly demonstrates. She deals with contemporary issues, as in “Ain’t No Time” dedicated to New Orleans as well as more political theme.

The Noctambulists was founded by Potter and Burr when they were both still students and their first recordings were self-produced. They were, however, of such a quality to induce “Rolling Stones” to label Potter as “… destined for greater things.”

The band’s inspiration is the Rock ‘n Roll of the 70s and they particularly admire albums like “Beggar’s Banquet” by the Rolling Stones on which a group of musicians stretched a style to express their own creative needs.

In fact it will be their ability to transcend genres that is most likely to fascinate and enrapture fans at their first appearance at an important European Festival. Grace Potter insists “…we are a band that loves to play. That’s what we are about,” and the dynamic impact of their stage show is sure to be one of the highlights of the whole four days.
