Ma Little Freddie è tutta un'altra cosa! Lui suona l'autentico Swamp Blues della Louisiana. Jimmy Reed, Lightnin'Slim e Muddy Waters prima maniera fanno parte della sua musica, che pur rimanendo fedele al Delta Blues, è originale e attualissima. Freddie King è una vera leggenda a New Orleans, città che ha eletto a propria dimora per quasi cinquant'anni, ma è ancora un personaggio misterioso per la maggioranza dei fans europei del blues in quanto non ama viaggiare. Addirittura, negli anni '50 quando era molto legato a Buddy Guy, scelse di restare a casa quando lo stesso Buddy si trasferì a Chicago. Blues to Bop è orgoglioso di essere riuscito a convincere Freddie King a restare a Lugano per ben tre giorni (l'ulteriore permanenza di un giorno è stata rifiutata!). Il pubblico avrà modo di divertirsi al ritmo della contagiosa musica funky proposta da questo grande artista che ha dedicato tutta la sua vita al blues. Jimmy Reed, Lightnin' Slim and the early Muddy Waters are all present in his music that, while remaining true to the Delta Blues, is original and up to date. Freddie King is a legend in New Orleans, the town he has made his home for almost fifty years, but is a mysterious cult figure to most European blues fans due to the fact that he hates travelling. In fact, he was friends with Buddy Guy in the fifties but chose to stay at home when Buddy left for Chicago. Blues to Bop is proud to have convinced him to stay three days (a fourth was refused!) so that fans can enjoy the infectious funky music of this great artist who has lived the whole of his life in the blues.  back
