- Durante
gli ultimi anni Dave Keyes è diventato non solo un personaggio molto
amato dal pubblico ma anche un apprezzato collaboratore del nostro
festival, in quanto la
sua band è conosciuta come capace di “attirare” nomi famosi in
qualità di ospiti speciali: quest’anno grazie a Dave Keyes arrivano
a Lugano Bill Perry, Deborah Coleman e Oliver Lake ! In Belgio e in
Olanda invece Dave è conosciuto come solista stile boogie-woogie e
per la prima volta assumerà questo ruolo anche a Lugano in Piazzetta
San Carlo, nei momenti in cui non si affiancherà alle star invitate
per l’occasione.

Keyes has become not only a well-loved performer at our Festival but
also a valued collaborator given that his band is so well known
Stateside that established figures are only too happy to come to the
Festival to be accompanied by him and his men. William Perry, Deborah
Coleman and Oliver Lake are all guesting with Dave Keyes this year.
Despite all this activity Blues to Bop has still not enjoyed
one dimension of Dave’s talent – his boogie-woogie playing.
In fact, in Belgium and Holland Dave has soloed at a number of
festivals and made tours but this year is the first occasion in Lugano
when he has concerts as Mr Dave “Boogie” Keyes.
