Native Kansan, Kelley Hunt, is well-known to American bluesfans where her performances in over a 100 music festivals have made her a firm favorite and secure crowd puller. However, Kelley’s music is not limited to the blues, even though her first inspiration came from listening to records by Ruth Brown, Mahalia Jackson and Billie Holiday. In fact, she soon added colourings and shadings taken from gospel and country. She talent as a songwriter has brought her further attention due to way in which her music reaches opens up new approaches. This wide vision and her dynamic, forceful stage presence makes her the ideal Blues to Bop artist where she is sure to make a big impact. Her recent CD, “New Shade of Blue” entered the Billboard Blues Charts in ninth position.
