Max Dega took up the guitar when still a teenager and is mostly self taught. He has played for years with local bands all over the Canton, in other parts of Switzerland and in Italy. A successful young basketball player, it was only after meeting the Italian artist Nick Bettatini in 1994 that Max decided to dedicate himself to music and to the blues in particular. Max has had long stints with local bands like Diaspro and in 2003 co-founded Midnight Train with harmonica player J.C. Harpo. In 2005 he was invited to entertain the Piazza Blues Festival audience between set changes. He proved to be very successful at this daunting and often thankless task and this encouraged him to form his own band. Trouble No More is a new group which allows Max to bring to the stage his passion for new sounds and new approaches to the blues tradition.
