The reinterpretation of hit records from different periods, often originally performed by legendary stars, has always been part of Blues, Jazz and Pop Music. In fact, it makes the news only when proving to be a runaway success, as was the case with Rock’n Roll and early Rock Music. On the other hand, straight “covers“ are often the work of minor artists, though when these records give birth to phenomena like the Blues Brothers or Joss Stone, then the whole world takes notice. Soul Jam is an example and arrive in Ticino for the second time this summer, after one concert at Piazza Blues. These twelve young talents from Zurich have created an energetic, dynamic, non-stop show which is a total delight thanks to great vocals, convincing solos and tight choreography. Their enthusiasm and conviction is truly contagious and they are sure to rock the piazzas with songs to which everybody, but everybody, knows the words!
