Rene Trossman was born in Chicago, “The Home Of The Blues” where he studied guitar and a strong feeling for the traditional blues which marks his style and choice of songs. Based in Prague since 1994, Rene started playing gigs in the late 80s in Rosa’s Lounge, in Chicago, but also appeared all over town with bluesmen Buddy Scott, Little Mack Simmons, Blyther Smith, Lurrie Bell and many others. Buddy Scott was his primary influence, teacher, mentor and friend, until his untimely death in 1995. Rene played in many other clubs in Chicago and around the USA before settling in Prague in 1995 where he has become a legendary figure. When asked about his favourite blues players, Rene mentions heroes such as T-Bone Walker, Earl Hooker, Jimmy Reed, Elmore James, Albert King and B.B. King and his shows reflect his knowledge and love for a wide variety of styles. The Rene Trossman Band creates high energy, rocking shows and are sure to delight those Blues to Bop fans that like the electric blues tradition.
